Raindrops and Roses.

Post-Drizzle Prettiness. October 2010.

Having an array of flowering plants at home, most of my macro shots highlight these flowers as subject. I was lucky to capture this after one drizzly October afternoon. True enough, the water droplets do make flower shots prettier and more dramatic.

Love this picture, it reminds of my Lola Ying's rose garden. She had a green thumb, she could grow anything. Our garden was always in bloom when she was tending to it.

Hi Eileen!
Same here! Everything in our garden is practically my grandmom's.
One of these days I'll try to share my grandpop's (grandma's brother) flowers. He loves them so much that he actually tends a farm. :)

Beautiful, and the lighting is so interesting! I keep trying to figure out if the photo was taken indoors or out-of-doors. The light does seem natural. Where ever it is seems slightly damp and shaded, but the rose bursts out from it, full of light! Very interesting and very lovely!

Hello Cassandra! Stopped by at your site. :)

Thanks for the wonderful comment Sharyl!

This was taken outdoors, and yes, under natural light. No flash. :)

The sky was a bit dark when I took this photo; it was almost 5 pm if I remember correctly, plus the fact that it just stopped raining.

I got lucky under the rain, I guess. :)
