Simple Pero Rock. January 2012.
After feasting on all those fatty, cholesterol-laden meat dishes during the Holidays, isn't it nice to eat something as simple as this? Meager as this meal may be, I consider tuyo (dried fish) as a comfort food. And I like eating this with my bare hands, dipped in vinegar, and partnered with steamed or fried rice.
I guess this is one of the reasons why my husband adores me like so. I find happiness in the simplest things. Just as my tummy gets satisfied with this humble tuyo. :)

It's been a long time since I had tuyo. While I love tuyo, it's very seldom that I find the not-so-salty kind. That's what I really love, and I like eating my tuyo with tomatoes. Happy FTF! Here's my entry: http://www.delightmyappetite.com/2012/01/food-trip-friday-lola-maria-restaurant/

Hi Tetcha!
From my experience, the ones sold in supermarkets (e.g., SM & Puregold) taste saltier than the ones sold at wet markets. :)
Hi Joy!
